Psalm 55:22 (NKJV)
Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
The Author of Life continued His story with a chapter that led me to understand the true meaning of grace.
Day by day, my life went on, and the story written by the Author unfolded with moments that left a deep impression. About twelve years ago, when I was in the fourth grade of elementary school, He allowed my mother to fall ill and be hospitalized for three days.
As I slowly recall that moment, I am truly in awe of His love. At that time, there was no government health insurance or BPJS program yet, and staying in a hospital was something very expensive for us.
Considering my young age—around eight or nine years old—there was little I could do except pray and surrender everything into God’s hands.
Yet once again, the Author of Life etched His love into our story. Hallelujah.
He moved the hearts of two siblings’ families to cover my mother’s hospital expenses. They were like angels sent by God to see our hardship. Through that moment, I came to understand how gentle the hand of the Author truly is—and what grace really means.
Grace is something we never planned or worked for, yet it is given freely into our lives.
He is truly an extraordinary storyteller.
He always writes the ink of life with impressions that leave lasting meaning in our journey.
I am merely a tool He uses to rewrite what the Author of Life has already inscribed. My writing may not be perfect, but I am grateful to be a pen He chooses to use—to testify of His miraculous plans.
