Activities at the Mental Health & Drug Rehabilitation Center
Betesda Rehabilitation Center, as a Mental Health and Drug Rehabilitation Center, organizes various activities aimed at helping clients—who were once marginalized by society—learn to socialize again so they can reintegrate with their families and the community. We are committed to an approach that prioritizes divine healing, treats each client as a member of our own family (Home Care System), and applies integrated (holistic) therapy.
Below are some of the regular activities we conduct both inside and outside the Betesda Rehabilitation Center:
1. Worship and Understanding of God’s Word
We hold regular worship services in the morning and evening, during which clients are taught to understand God’s Word and are encouraged to serve during the services. In these worship sessions, we pray for one another, offer mutual encouragement, and often share personal experiences to build spiritual strength and fellowship.
2. Psychiatric Evaluation by a Psychiatrist
In collaboration with Magelang Mental Hospital (RSJ Magelang), regular evaluations are conducted by a psychiatrist to monitor and assess the stages of recovery of clients at Betesda Rehabilitation Center.
3. Physical Exercise & Recreational Activities
To maintain clients’ physical stamina and support the healing process, we regularly organize exercise sessions as well as various games and competitions during special occasions such as year-end celebrations, Independence Day, Christmas, and other significant events.
4. Skills & Arts
These activities are conducted regularly to engage clients in meaningful use of their free time and to provide them with useful skills as preparation for when they have recovered and reintegrate into society.

5. Gardening / Work Activities
The Mental & Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center also conducts activities that train clients to become accustomed to social interaction, one of which is gardening or working to assist at the Bukit Rhema House of Prayer. These activities help clients adapt to a normal daily routine and are an important part of the rehabilitation stages at Betesda Rehabilitation Center.
6. Recreation
We regularly organize recreational trips to tourist destinations around the Rehabilitation Center to support the healing process, helping clients experience a sense of normal life so they can return to their families and reintegrate into society.
